"When I came across this ficus tree wrapped around a coconut palm I immediately assumed they were in love. Later I found out the ficus was strangling the palm tree. I guess that’s how lovers are sometime. This worms eye view of the entwined trees was originally done in oil paint during Ching's senior year in High School 1980. It was the top painting in the National Scholastic Arts Competition and is now in the collection of the Smithsonian Museum. | | Original Ref.
