Many of you have been requesting some of the pencil drawings that I did in the 1980’s and they are now available in note cards again. These sepia-toned cards feature Hawaiian birds like the ‘I‘iwi, Koa’e Kea, ‘Alala, Pueo and ‘Io.
I began doing these drawings to accompany the articles I wrote for the Ka Wai Ola o OHA newspaper. The column called Naturally Hawaiian featured a different native plant or animal each month for many years. These cards are blank inside for writing and have informative text on the back about the animal that inspired the art |
