Patrick Ching Brush Stroke Advice:
Most brush strokes are best done with the flat area or "palm of the brush. Get soft edges for clouds etc. by "petting" with the palm of the brush. Use the sharp "fingernails" only when necessary to achieve sharp edges.
Tilting the back of the handle down when applying paint will leave more paint on the canvas and give a more solid covering of paint. While doing this, think in your mind "I'm leaving paint on the canvas". A right angle straight up and down stroke will scrape paint away showing the canvas through the paint.

Gather the sensitivity in your soul, run it down your body, through your arms, then your brush and leave it on the canvas.
